Dental Insurance Plans Available In Arizona

Dental insurance helps cover routine cleanings, exams, and X-rays, plus a share of fillings, crowns, and other work — so a trip to the dentist doesn't become a surprise bill. Phoenix Health Insurance offers standalone dental plans and plans bundled with health or Medicare coverage, for individuals, families, and employers, from top carriers at no extra cost to you.

What Dental Plans Cover

Preventive Care

Routine cleanings, exams, and X-rays — usually covered at or near 100%, often with no waiting period. Two visits a year keep small problems from becoming big ones.

Basic Procedures

Fillings, simple extractions, and emergency care — typically covered around 70–80% after any deductible.

Major Work

Crowns, bridges, dentures, and root canals — usually covered around 50%, sometimes after a waiting period. We'll help you find a plan that fits the care you need.

Types of Dental Plans

Dental HMO (DHMO)

Like a medical HMO, a DHMO uses a network of contracted dentists and set copays for each service. Premiums are low and there's usually no annual maximum, but you choose from in-network providers.

Dental PPO

A PPO gives you a network of preferred dentists at negotiated rates, plus the freedom to go out of network for a higher share of the cost — the most popular choice for flexibility.

Dental Indemnity

A traditional fee-for-service plan that lets you see any dentist. You pay up front and the plan reimburses a set percentage — maximum freedom, typically a higher premium.

Dental Insurance FAQ

Does dental insurance cover cleanings?
Yes. Most dental plans cover two preventive cleanings and exams each year, usually at or near 100% and with no waiting period.
Is there a waiting period for major dental work?
Many plans apply a waiting period (often 6 to 12 months) before covering crowns, bridges, or dentures. If you need work soon, we'll help you find plans with shorter or no waiting periods.
Does Medicare cover dental?
Original Medicare (Parts A and B) does not cover routine dental care. A standalone dental plan or a Medicare Advantage plan that includes dental benefits can fill that gap — ask our agents how.
Can I buy dental insurance on its own?
Absolutely. We offer standalone dental plans as well as dental bundled with health or Medicare coverage, for individuals, families, and groups.
How much does dental insurance cost?
Premiums vary by plan type and coverage level, and many individual dental plans are very affordable. Contact us for a free, no-obligation comparison across carriers.
